One of the main objectives of the YERUN Network is to influence and advise on EU policies in order to shape a Higher Education environment where young universities have a true impact on the role and nature of academic pursuit. YERUN is regularly invited to formal and informal consulations organised by the European Commission. This gives the YERUN member universities the unique opportunity to exchange views with representatives of the EC and the ERA Forum and to actively contribute to the future policies relevant for young research universities. The policy advocacy work ist mainly coordinated by the YERUN Brussels Office in close cooperation with the YERUN Policy Platform.
The YERUN Policy Platform is composed of experts from YERUN member institutions, who are familiar with the EU policy. The group meets on regular basis, steering the network's policy advocacy activities.
