For our international exchange and degree-seeking students as well as international researchers
We welcome you to our summer semster programme.
Below you will find the list of currently planned activities. The list of events may be extended at a later point, so you might wish to check the website for any changes throughout the semester.
This time, we have planned even more movement activities, decided to continue the intercultural games on Mondays, and even arranged a course, which will bring you some ECTS points for participation through the Centre for Transferable Skills.
All events are free for all international students and researchers; the International Office will cover your costs.

Sport and activities
Geocaching
Explore Konstanz with a Geocaching Event - NEW DATE!
With this geocaching action, you can get to know the city in a completely different, modern, and adventurous way. You will explore the city with the help of GPS coordinates and learn not only about the famous sights, but also about many a detail that goes unnoticed by most visitors. You will start Coronaconform in teams of 2, and the fun can begin. The only thing you will need is a smartphone with internet connection and a pinch of adventurous spirit to spice up the hunt for hidden treasures Konstanz has to offer.
Date: Friday, 25 June
Hour: Throughout the day; the slots are every 30 minutes

Venue: In Konstanz, physical presence necessary
You can register as a team of two or alone. In this case we will match you up with someone.

Qigong
Weekly Interactive Qigong Course ENJOY YOUR LIFE
Do you want to have a good start into the day? Then join our weekly Qigong course. It will help you focus, fill you with energy, and relax at the same time through exercising harmonic, conscious movements that resemble nature and animals alike. Feel how inner blockades melt away and trust the ancient Chinese art of meditation. It is all about the joy of movement - Enjoy your life!
Date: Tuesday, 01 June 2021 - 8 sessions, except 15 June 2021, every Tuesday
Hour: 8.45 - 9.30 a.m.
Level: Beginners are welcome

The course is offered in generous cooperation with Gerold Gerber, Qigong-Teacher (BVTQ).
Yoga
Interactive Yoga Course
We will meet for a weekly yoga class to strech our muscles and help our backs to deal with all the sitting that we have now to endure. The class is suitable for beginners. Those with previous knowledge will receice a more advanced tasks.
Date: Starting on Wednesday, 05 May 8 weekly sessions every Wednesday

Level: All levels are welcome
The course is kindly offered by the university's sports department and facilities - Hochschulsport. The International Office will take over the costs of this course for you. Hence, registration in advance is necessary.

Networking and transferable skills
Let's play interculture
Join us for regular online game sessions with different intercultural online games. Let's meet, play, talk, share experiences and have fun together. Meet new people and learn about them and their culture.

Storytelling
In this course, you will get to learn about the magical art of storytelling as it was practiced for generations in front of camp fires.
You pick out a story or a fairy tale from your cultural background, and we give you instructions on how to successfully tell a story to captivate your audience. While at it, you can pick up valuable presentation skills, which you can use for your next presentation in a class room, or let's face it - in front of a screen for the observable future. Through the fun art of storytelling, you will get a chance to become more secure when talking in front of an audience.
Date: 2 weekends 07 - 08 May and 21 - 22 May
Time: To be arranged according to time zone of the participants
Venue: Zoom, the link will be sent after the registration
The seminar sessions will be held in English, and you may get up to 2 ECTS points for this course through the Centre for Transferable Skills.
