The Zukunftskolleg is an Institute for Advanced Study at the University of Konstanz. It offers fellowships and a diverse support network to promote the independence of early career researchers (postdocs, junior professors, research group leaders, etc.). On behalf of the Zukunftskolleg, an evaluation of the funding instruments of the Zukunftskolleg is carried out in 2023.
Contents and goals:
The evaluation will examine the following questions:
- How successful are the funding instruments of the Zukunftskolleg, especially from the perspective of the funded researchers?
- Are there overlaps in the content of the funding instruments of the Zukunftskolleg and the funding instruments of other units at the University of Konstanz?
- Are there still gaps in the funding of early career researchers?

- Mapping of research funding instruments at the University of Konstanz and the Zukunftskolleg (March)
- Focus group interview with representatives of the target group to evaluate the funding instruments of the Zukunftskolleg (April)
