On behalf of the Zukunftskolleg, an evaluation of the programme "Zukunftskolleg Herz Fellowships" will take place in 2023. This programme was established by the University of Konstanz on the basis of the Henriette Herz Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation which was awarded to the University of Konstanz. It serves to recruit outstanding international junior researchers.
Contents and goals:
The strengths and weaknesses of the current implementation of the Henriette Herz Programme will be assessed. The evaluation will focus on the following questions:
- Integration of the (former) fellows into the German and global academic environment
- Cooperation between local hosts and fellows
- Potential for optimising project management
- Differences and similarities in the evaluation of the funding formats ZUKOnnect and Herz fellows
Procedure
- three focus group interviews (April 2023)
- five individual interviews with local hosts from different disciplines (February to April 2023) and
- Reporting, presentation of results and discussion (April to May 2023)
