Peer Review in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics on December 1st and 2nd, 2022

This year, an evaluation (peer review cycle) will be carried out in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, which, in addition to the elementary tasks of the department (research, teaching, promotion of early career researchers, internationalization and equality), will also focus on strategy development and further profile building. Particular attention is also paid to the conceptual design of the courses.
As part of a two-day on-site visit on 1 and 2 December 2022, a selected external group of experts (three professors, one labour market representative, one student) at the University of Konstanz held talks with different status groups in the department. The discussions are based on a self-assessment report from the department. The quality assurance unit coordinates the entire process.
After successfully completing the peer review cycle, the Senate awards the seal of accreditation for the positively evaluated programmes.
