Nadir Weber appointed as Associate Professor of Premodern Swiss History at the University of Bern

Nadir Weber (Alumnus / History and Sociology) has been appointed as Associate Professor of Premodern Swiss History at the University of Bern, Switzerland.

In 2022, he received the first "Eccellenza" assistant professorship at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland. His project “Republican Secrets. Silence, Memory, and Collective Rule in the Early Modern Period” is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation's (SNSF) career funding instrument “Eccellenza Professorial Fellowship” with a total of 1.56 million Swiss francs for five years.

Nadir has been a Fellow of the Zukunftskolleg from February 2016 until March 2018.
