Klaus Boldt receives DFG Grant

We congratulate Klaus Boldt, Research Fellow at the Zukunftskolleg since April 2015 and affiliated with the Department of Chemistry, on receiving a DFG Grant worth 218.450 euros.

The funded project “Cold-Injection Synthesis of Nanoheterostructures based on Cluster Decomposition” aims to separate the usually harsh conditions necessary to initiate nanocrystal synthesis from nanoparticle growth. At much milder conditions, this will lead to new crystal structures and combinations of materials, made at temperatures that are more environmentally friendly and easier to control. The funding includes a doctoral position.
