Intercontinental Academia by UBIAS has started in Paris
"Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence" is the theme of the fourth edition of the Intercontinental Academia (ICA 4).
The Zukunftskolleg is glad that Diego Frassinelli, Junior Professor in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Department of Linguistics, has been selected to take part in the ICA 4 and will be representing the University of Konstanz. The title of his project is: “The Effects of Culture and Society on Natural Language Models”.
The ICA is a project by UBIAS, which is a network of 51 university-based Institutes for Advanced Study worldwide, initiated in 2010. The Zukunftskolleg has been a member of UBIAS since 2018. Each ICA edition is hosted by two institutes from different continents. ICA 4 has been organized by the Institute of Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and the Paris Institute for Advanced Study (IAS).
The ICA 4 opening sessions were already held virtually in June this year. The face-to-face sessions take place now in October in Paris and in June 2022 in Belo Horizonte.
