Exploring Pathways Beyond Academia: Non-Academic Careers for SSH (social sciences and humanities) and Arts after the thesis

You are cordially invited to join a two-day workshop Exploring Pathways Beyond Academia organized by the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) at Université de Paris 8.

Tuesday, 24th & Wednesday 25th October 2023

Target group of the workshop:
PhD candidates and early career researchers from Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and Arts disciplines

Key Learning Outcomes:
This workshop is designed to equip you with valuable insights and practical guidance on pursuing successful non-academic careers after completing your doctoral theses:

  • Gain practical guidance for non-academic career pursuits
  • Learn from experienced professionals in various sectors
  • Make informed decisions about career trajectories
  • Network with peers from ERUA partner institutions
  • Transition successfully into non-academic careers

This is the last event of a series of workshops that took place between 2022 and 2023 covering a broad scope of topics ranging from the way networking works, through funding opportunities for collaborative research, to specific scientific areas in which the ERUA participants have common portfolios.
