Call for Posters – Let’s Think China Transdisciplinary Pre-Conference for Young Researchers

Date: May 9, 2019, 10.00 a.m. – 8.15 p.m. (Hohenheim China Dialog 4.00 – 8.15 p.m.) Application Deadline: April 25, 2019 Best Poster Award: First Place 150 EUR, Second Place 50 EUR (Sponsor: Universitätsbund Hohenheim e.V.) Location: University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart With the project “China-Competence in Hohenheim” (CHIKOH), the University of Hohenheim aims to prepare students and researchers for the academic and entrepreneurial cooperation with China. Therefore, the project is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the funding line “Promotion of innovative concepts for the development of China competence at German universities” for a duration of three years (October 2017 – September 2020).

With the project “China-Competence in Hohenheim” (CHIKOH), the University of Hohenheim aims to prepare students and researchers for the academic and entrepreneurial cooperation with China. Therefore, the project is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the funding line “Promotion of innovative concepts for the development of China competence at German universities” for a duration of three years (October 2017 – September 2020).One of our annual highlights is the Hohenheim China Dialog, which is preceded by a Pre-Conference for young researchers. This year’s Pre-Conference “Let’s Think China” offers doctoral candidates and post-docs the opportunity to present their China-related research projects and to discuss their (scientific) experience, plans and questions in relation to China.We are going to discuss a wide range of topics from different perspectives and different disciplines: from science and research in China to economy and technology up to the political system and social structures.In order to participate, accepted participants have to hand in a poster presenting their China-related research project. In addition to the presentation of the individual project at the Pre-Conference, participants will have the opportunity to exhibit their posters at the Kick-off and Get-together of the Hohenheim China Dialog and to exchange views and network with experts from business and science.
