Guide to German disability law
You have the right to equal access to education. Here is a summary of all the legal basics in Germany (page in German).
- The Studying with Disability Information and Advice Centre (at the German National Association for Student Affairs (DSW))provides tips for finding relevant advice, housing, financing as well as personnel and technical support, etc.
- „Studium und Behinderung“ (study and disability) is a guide (in German) for students and prospective students with disabilities and chronic illnesses. It provides extensive information for organizing and financing your studies and making appropriate academic adjustments for your disability or chronic illness.
- ”Ratgeber für Menschen mit Behinderung” is a guide (in German) published by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) that provides comprehensive information about all the services and support that you are entitled to if you have a disability - for your studies and elsewhere.
- ”Ratgeber für Erwachsene mit Legasthenie und Dyskalkulie” is a guide (in German) especially for adults with dislexia and discalculia published by the respective national association “Bundesverband Legasthenie und Dyskalkulie e.V.”
