Horizon Europe

The European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation offers numerous opportunities for funding research projects. The focus is on large collaborative projects on predefined topics as well as excellent individual projects.

With the Erasmus+ programme, the European Union supports mobility, exchange and innovation in education, youth and sports. Besides student exchange and staff mobility, the focus is on cooperation among universities and partnerships between different European institutions.

Cost (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) provides funding for establishing European research networks. A network must be supported by at least five member states. The programme funds, for example, workshop series, conferences and publications. We highly recommend getting in touch with the national contact point for COST before submitting an application.

The INTERREG programmes are financed by European structural funds and support cooperation between different European regions via cross-border partnerships (INTERREG A), transnational partnerships (INTERREG B) and interregional partnerships (INTERREG C). The focus is more on the regional added value of the projects than on research. The University of Konstanz can participate in the programmes „Alpenrhein-Bodensee-Hochrhein” (INTERREG A) as well as „Alpine Space”, „Danube Transnational Programme” and „Central Europe” (INTERREG B).
