creative.together – Welcome to the university
The University of Konstanz is a special place. It was founded in 1966 as a reform university, and has since blossomed into an internationally renowned university and research hub. The university has enjoyed continuous success in the German Excellence competition of the German federal and state governments since 2007. Only five other universities nationwide have accomplished this. Creative and motivated staff are the key to our success. Respectful interaction, communication as equals and the university’s guiding principle, creative.together, provide a solid basis here. With some 4,600 full-time and part-time staff, the University of Konstanz is not only one of the largest employers in the region, it is also recognized for its strong focus on staff satisfaction and well-being. For example, the university is actively committed to inclusion and anti-discrimination, and has received several awards for its family-friendly policies.

We are happy to welcome you to the team!
Jens Apitz
Kanzler (director of the university administration)
