It is important to us at the University of Konstanz that we take on social responsibility during the current debate on refugees. We want to assist you as a refugee. With our expert knowledge and experience in research and teaching, we strive to positively influence your stay in Germany, eliminate barriers to studying, encourage you to participate in educational events and share our infrastructure with you.
In cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz (HTWG) and training institutions in the administrative district of Konstanz, we are coordinating a new concept to support refugees that are interested in education. At the heart of this concept is a three-phase model that offers refugees access to study and training as well as other educational opportunities. We have submitted the proposed concept to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research, and Arts (MWK) in order to receive funding.
For some time now, our Centre of Excellence for Psychotraumatology has supported traumatised persons from crisis regions. Additionally, student initiatives are helping refugees adjust to everday life here in Germany. In order to keep you informed, we will regularly update the information regarding these activities, measures and opportunities on this website.
