General terms of participation

Who can participate?

Our courses and events are primarily directed at students, doctoral students and graduates1 of the University of Konstanz.

Students from other universities, employees of the University of Konstanz and other interested parties may participate as well where places are available. Special conditions for registration and fees may apply. Please refer to the respective course description for details.

1 up to two years after graduation

Registration

You may attend our lectures and information events without pre-registering.

Space in workshops, job interview training events or excursions is limited, so please register in advance. The registration deadline is usually two weeks before the event.

Please register for our courses in person or by email with the SSZ. You will receive a confirmation email, if space is still available. Space is awarded on a first come-first served basis.

All University of Konstanz students, graduates (up to two years after graduating) and doctoral students may attend. If all the spaces are filled, we add you to a waiting list and let you know if space later becomes available.

Students at other universities as well as other external participants can join our events, if space is still available. External participants are, however, charged a higher registration fee.

Space is reserved for two students from other participating universities to participate in career events offered by the IBH AG Karriere.

Costs

Most of our events are offered free of charge. We do, however, charge a minimal fee to participate in workshops, job interview training events or excursions.

You can either pay the fee in person in the SSZ (during opening hours) or by bank transfer to the Universitätskasse (university cashier's office) including the payment reference “Career Service” as well as the event title and your name.

Your registration is binding as soon as your payment is received.

Cancellation

If you cancel your registration before the registration deadline, you will be refunded the full participation fee. If you register after the deadline or fail to attend the course, you will still need to pay the entire amount.

If we cancel the event with good reason, you will be refunded the full participation fee.

Evaluation / confirmation of participation:

Your feedback is very important to us. For this reason, we regularly evaluate our events and ask that you help us by filling out our questionnaire after the event.

If you like, we can issue you a certificate of participation.

Evaluation and feedback

We honour your opinion. We evaluate our courses and events regularly. Please make time to take part in the evaluation, if offered, following the course or event you participated in.
