How can I register?

After you have requested access to the customer portal, the LBV will send you two separate letters containing access data for your LBV account. You will receive these letters on two successive days. The first letter will contain the registration link, the second your access PIN. You can only register after you have received both letters!

How can I register?

Enter the registration link into the address line of your internet browser (please note: do not use a search function such as Google).
Go to the page "Sie wollen eine neue Funktion nutzen” (use new function) and select "Neues Konto anlegen" (create new account). Please enter your data (and create your own password!). Complete your registration as described

in our instructions 

How to log into the LBV Kundenportal

Advantages of the "LBV Kundenportal"

Registering with the "LBV Kundenportal" has many advantages:

  • You can view your monthly pay slip ("Gehaltsabrechnung") and annual pay slip ("Jahresmitteilung") online and print them out if required
  • You will find important information about your salary
  • You can request your JobTicket BW
  • You can easily and quickly contact the person responsible for your salary payments
  • You have access to important documents from anywhere in the world (e.g. "Entsendebescheinigung" = confirmation of secondment)

PIN has expired – request a new number

If your access PIN has expired, you will have to fill in, print and sign the following form to request a new number:

The LBV will then send your new PIN to your private address. 

Registration or login problems

Email address already registered: What do I need to do?

When the following message appears after you have entered your email address “Mailadresse bereits registriert“ (address already registered), you already have an account with the LBV Kundenportal (service-bw). In this case you enter the registration link again and click

At “Nutzername” you enter your email address and the password you chose when you first registered with service-bw. If you cannot remember your password, select “Passwort vergessen” (forgot your password?). The "Nutzername" (user name) is your university email adress. Answer the “Sicherheitsfrage” (security question) and create a new password.

I am not redirected to the LBV Kundenportal: What do I need to do?

You have confirmed the registration link and entered your personal data, but are not redirected to the "LBV Kundenportal"? You can do the following:

Enter the registration link you received with the first LBV letter in your internet browser and select “bestehendes Konto verknüpfen” (merge existing account). Log in with your email address and the password you selected. Then click on the grey box “Einladung annehmen” (accept invitation) and enter the PIN from the second LBV letter.

If a message appears stating that the link is no longer valid (“Link nicht mehr gültig”) you need to visit, click on the box “Start Kundenportal”, enter your email address and password.  Then click on the grey box “Einladung annehmen” (accept invitation) and enter the PIN you have received with the second letter.

JobTicket BW

JobTicket BW - What’s that?

The JobTicket BW is a ticket subsidized by the state of Baden-Württemberg for trips between your place of work and the place you live.

It is available as a one-year subscription that is paid monthly.

If you are an employee with the state of Baden-Württemberg, you can request a subsidy of 25 € /month for your JobTicket BW.

How to order your JobTicket (online)

The easiest way to request your JobTicket BW is online via the LBV Kundenportal (customer portal). Please have your login details ready (your “LBV Personalnummer für Gehalt" (staff salary number, see last salary statement) as well as your "LBV Kundenportal" password). It is not necessary to have Human Resources confirm your order.

You can find a list of the participating transportation networks ("Verkehrsverbunde") in Baden-Württemberg on the LBV website at JobTicket BW. You can either visit that website or order your ticket via the "LBV-Kundenportal"

If you have any questions or problems during the order process, please contact your respective transportation network.

Please select the tab "Fahrkarten" in the "LBV-Kundenportal" and select "JobTicket BW (Zuschuss)". You will then be guided through the ordering process.


The payment of the subsidy is automatically requested when you send your order. Please note the order deadlines. You need to order by the 10th or 15th of the previous month, depending on your transportation network. The subsidy will be paid with a certain time delay, usually payment starts the month after your JobTicket BW has become valid.
