Police operation at the University of Konstanz
Today, on Tuesday, 15 October 2019, an alert regarding a potential firearms threat in the university’s Mensa (dining hall) was posted via the social media app Jodel. It has now become clear that this post was a fake. There was no actual threat and no danger at any point in time.
Prompted by the warning, the police responded immediately and arrived on campus to handle the situation. Please note that any police officers that you may have seen on campus today were here to assess the situation and to secure the campus.
The entire university campus area has now been cleared. You can enter all university buildings as per usual.
