The University of Konstanz Logo
The quadratic signet has been the official symbol of the University of Konstanz since 1981. The renowned designer Otl Aicher provided this logo free of charge to the University of Konstanz under one condition: that it be used just as he designed it. The geometric structures inside the quadratic signet depict the university, Konstanz’s Münster (cathedral) and the Rhine-bridge. Together they symbolise the connection between the university and its hometown.
