Since 2008, the Deutsche Rechtshistorikertag has awarded a prize for outstanding work in legal history by younger colleagues. The prizes are funded by major publishers of legal history literature. Since 2010, the Castor & Pollux Stiftung GmbH, Berlin, has also awarded the Herman Conring Prize for outstanding research achievements in the field of legal history, legal philosophy and legal theory.
