Top athletes and elected officials

One percent of all study space, or at least one student in every study programme with admission restrictions at the University of Konstanz, is reserved for top athletes and elected public officials.

When does this regulation apply to me?

If you:

  • belong to one of the following German squads: Olympiakader, Perspektivkader, Ergänzungskader, Teamsportkader or Nachwuchskader 1 or 2 of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB),
  • belonged to one of the following German squads: Olympiakader, Perspektivkader, Ergänzungskader, Teamsportkader or Nachwuchskader 1 or 2 of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), are still an active athlete and belong to a national German premier-, second or third league of an Olympic sports,
  • are an elected official, i.e. a member of parliament or a local council.

Important!

This regulation only applies if you have especially close ties to Konstanz due to your athletic activities or your duties as an elected official.

How do I apply to the University of Konstanz as a top athlete or an elected public official?

1. You go through your online application for your desired study program,
2. In the online application, you indicate that you will be submitting a request for special consideration due to your close ties to    Konstanz,
3. Upload appropriate proof for your application,
4. Complete the online application.
5. Subsequently, our colleagues will review your application for a location tie based on your evidence.
 (Rejected applications or applications submitted in error will not result in the closure of your application).
