4. Purpose of data processing and consequences of failure to provide personal data

•    In order to award the committee bonus for female professors and female postdoctoral researchers, the University of Konstanz collects the names, email addresses, status, department, and participation in the named committees of the submissions. Failure to provide this data excludes from a successful application for the committee bonus.

5. Legal basis

•    Determination of entitlement to payment of a committee bonus, Art. 6 (1) lit. b) DSGVO

6.  Procedure

•    On the website of the University of Konstanz, you will be asked to indicate your committee participation and then to provide your name, email address, if applicable the type of professorship you hold, and your department. If the committee bonus is awarded successfully, you will be contacted by email.

7. Handling the data

•    The data is only collected for the purpose of awarding the committee bonus. Once the bonus has been successfully awarded, the data is deleted.

8. Duration of storage

•    The data is only collected for the duration of the determination of the bonus beneficiaries.

9. Receivers

•    Employees of the Equal Opportunity Office who are responsible for awarding the committee bonus.

10. Your rights

  • You have the right to obtain information from the University of Konstanz about the data stored about you and/or to have incorrectly stored data corrected.
  • You also have the right to request deletion or restriction of processing or the right to object to processing.
  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the law. The supervisory authority in Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.
