Short term care is aimed at parents who need a place for their child at short notice or only for a limited period of time. In the short term care, children between 6 months and 6 years are cared for in the Knirps & Co groups. The care and the amount of care can be offered in the Knirps groups depending on availability.
Precondition
Both parents are employed or studying and at least one parent is a member of the University of Konstanz.
There are ten groups in total: six nest groups and four kindergarten groups. Of these, four nest groups are located in the main house and two nest groups are located in the university building. The kindergarten groups are located in the main building.
There is a small contingent of so-called short term places in these Knirps groups. These places are for children whose parents are at the University of Konstanz for a certain period of time, e.g. visiting scientists.
You can book the short-term places from six weeks to a maximum of six months.

If you occasionally need care for your children, you can book the emergency child care.

Closing times
Short term care is not avaible when the Kinderhaus is closed (see closing times there).
