Conference Dinner

On Wednesday evening the conference dinner took place in the university's dining hall. All participants were invited to come together, network and enjoy a nice meal with a beautiful view on lake constance. A dinner buffet with regional specialities like swabian ravioli or turkey hen ragout suisse-style as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were offered (included in participation fee).

Banquet

On Thursday evening participants were invited to attend the banquet at Konzil Konstanz near the harbour of Konstanz. The historical building is the place where the Council of Constance was held between 1414 and 1418. Three popes, which simultaneously claimed the right to the throne of Peter, a divided Christianity, turmoil and conflict throughout Europe – for these reasons, spiritual and secular dignitaries came together for the Council of Constance in the bishop city of Constance.

Programme:

  • 19:30: Doors open, aperitif on the upper terrace
  • 20:00: Welcome address and short talk on the history of the city of Konstanz
  • 20:15: Appetizer buffet
  • 21:00: Main course buffet
  • 21:30: Dance show by the dance group of the University of Konstanz
  • 21:45: Dessert buffet
  • 23:30: End of the banquet

A Shuttle bus took you from the university (bus stop at the main entrance) to bus stop "Konzilstraße". Departure 19:10 (without stopover). From bus stop "Konzilstraße" to Konzil Konstanz it was a 5 minutes' walk by foot (400 m).

It was also possible to take line 9AB city buses from the university to bus stop "Konzilstraße".
