Abstract

In this paper, we present an evolution of IFS-based image compression schemes, well adapted to high frequency contents. We propose to substitute the usual affine mass map which tends to smooth irregular surfaces, by an harmonic based map. This change implies the creation of a new way to quantize and encode coefficients.
