Messmer Research Award 2024 for James Wilson
Congratulations to James Wilson (Postdoctoral Fellow / History and Sociology) who is one of the winners of the 2024 Messmer Foundation Research Award conferred by the “Werner and Erika Messmer Foundation”.
Since 2020, this award has recognized outstanding research from any faculty at the University of Konstanz. This year, the honour is reserved for James Wilson's work on "Colonialism, the "Counter-Crusade" and the early development of Crusader studies".
The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros and is intended to support the researchers in their further scientific work. The selection was made in a multi-stage procedure by the Foundation and the Rectorate of the University of Konstanz, in consultation with the sections. Two members of the managing board of the Werner and Erika Messmer Foundation presented James with the award at the University of Konstanz's Dies academicus ceremony on 4 July 2024.
