The successful candidate will lead an independent research group with a highly quantitative and experimental orientation. The group will be an integral part of an ambitious and highly interdisciplinary initiative on collective behavior that involves several departments at the University of Konstanz including biology and computer science, the recently funded Center for Visual Computing of Collectives, http://bit.ly/2fbSCOu, and the Max-Planck Institute for Ornithology in Radolfzell and Konstanz. An affiliation with the Zukunftskolleg is envisaged.
