Workshop: Selective Internationality? Baseline Study and Counteractive Measures

Zukunftskolleg and International Office

Internationalisation at the University of Konstanz is not global. When mapping the institutional collaborations and biographic background of international scholars several white spots on the global landscape become apparent, while other areas seem overrepresented. Does this picture result from selective measures? Most existing collaborations and their local distribution emerged through individual strategic decisions on departmental and institutional level as well as through research collaborations established by interests of individual scholars. Should we strategically tackle this misfit in internationalisation? And if so – how?
