W. N. Sirgany, D. S. Mazel. Correlation effects of fractal compression. In Conference Record of the Twenty-Seventh Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, Pages 1524-1528, 1993.

Abstract

This paper summarizes an experimental evaluation of the impact that fractal compression has on signal processing algorithms which rely on cross correlation. This done by evaluating errors in the amplitude and location of peaks in the correlation function. The results were obtained by simulating an algorithm designed to locate sources in a rapidly fading propagation environment.
