In this paper, we use the approach of fractal segmentation and improved fractal image coding, and match images by the decoded images which we use as the fractal features of original images, taking the advantage of the stable features which the images of nature scences have. Experiments show that much higher accuracy and probability of matching for images of nature scences than traditional methods such as Mean Absolute Difference of graylevel or edge features were obtained.
