Abstract

In this paper, a fractal image coding approach based on non-linear transforms is proposed. The non-linear transforms satisfy a theory of contractive iterated image transformations. Simulation results show that this proposed approach can improve bit-rate and peak signal-noise-ratio (PSNR) by comparing with a traditional fractal image coding method.
