E-Phil – Erasmus+ Network

1st meeting of Eramus+ Departmental Coordinators from the Philologies

We are happy to announce the 1st meeting of Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinators from the Philologies (subject areas 023/0231/0232), which will take place in Konstanz, Germany, 2nd and 3rd May, 2019. With this meeting we would like to initiate a network of colleagues involved in Erasmus+ in the Philologies and provide a platform for discussion of topics relevant in student and staff mobility and internationalisation in general.

Tentative Programme

In a mixed programme of  talks and workshops we would like to discuss

  • chances and challenges in student and staff exchange,
  • curriculum compatibility and development, grade conversion/recognition,
  • ideas for new inter-institutional teaching and research collaboration,
  • new incentives and opportunities in the future Erasmus programme as of 2021:
In particular the importance of Language learning and teaching and multilingualism in the recent EC proposals,
  • any issue(s) network members find relevant to their work.

Registration form

In your registration, please let us know which topics you would like to see addressed so we may incorporate them in the final programme of the network meeting.

Who is invited to attend?

We know there are Erasmus coordinators of all kinds: Some colleagues belong to the research and teaching staff of a department, others belong to administration –
We explicitly invite staff of all backgrounds and sub-disciplines in the field of the Philologies, (such as Literary Theory, Literary Studies, Theoretical Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and Language teaching) from our partner universities to attend and contribute to our programme.

Travel and accommodation expenses

Participants may fund a 2-3-day mobility to Konstanz through staff mobility for training (STT) or staff mobility for teaching (STA) or  a combination of both. If your home institution requires you to travel on teaching funds, we will assist you in composing a teaching programme of 4 hours to complement 4 hours of training (participation in workshops).

For practical information on how to get to Konstanz and where to stay, please see the box "practical information" to the right.

We look forward to meeting you in Konstanz!
