We are very pleased to announce our Erasmus+ Staff Week in December 2019 at the University of Konstanz, Germany.
This year's topic will be "Digital Internationalization: Strategies for international offices, international E learning formats, and new approaches for administration: examples and best practice".
The Staff Week will take place 2-5 December 2019 (arrival day on Sunday, departure day on Friday).
Digital transformation does affect all aspects of our society. It also strongly affects the way we organize international collaborations at higher education institutions and the way universities deal with internationalization on various levels. Digital transformation will change
- the way we administrate international mobilities,
- teaching formats in the global context: digital transformation of exchange programs,
- research collaboration in global network,
- the structure of cooperation programs and support in international offices
The Konstanz Staff Training Week is an opportunity to discuss different approaches of how higher institutions approach digitalization in the international context, discuss strategies of International Offices for new administrative procedures as well as new formats of international exchange such as webinars, e learning, etc.
An inspiring key note will introduce you to the E Science Strategy of the University of Konstanz, followed by presentations of Konstanz' examples and the E learning team. Nevertheless, we would be delighted to include presentations of participants and thus get a full picture of universities' engagement worldwide. In addition, general information about the University of Konstanz and social events are included. You will also have the opportunity to meet representatives from the departments and to participate in our annual International Day, organized for Konstanz students wishing to study abroad. The language of communication will be English.
Application deadline has been October 2, 2019.
Encountering a very high interest we will not be able to accept late applications.
The University of Konstanz is one of 11 research oriented universities in Germany, being awarded within the German Excellence Initiative since 2007. It is located in the very south of Germany, the closest international airport is Zurich/Switzerland (1 hour by direct train to Konstanz). We have seats for app. 15-20 participants, if we receive more applications than this, we may have to prioritize partners
Of course, a cultural programme in the lovely city of Konstanz will be offered - and the agenda will be updated in due course.
We kindly ask participants to use Erasmus+ funding of their home institution (E+ ICM funding within the Konstanz budget) for travel and accommodation expenses. Information about accommodation will be shared in due course.
Looking forward to a beneficial week in Konstanz,
the Team of the International Office
