Study Days 2020 at the University of Konstanz and HTWG cancelled

The university and HTWG Konstanz have cancelled their Study Days.

The University of Konstanz and the University of Applied Sciences (HTWG) have cancelled their jointly organized Study Days planned for 10 to 12 March 2020. The coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is also spreading in Germany. Specific task forces at the University of Konstanz and the HTWG are regularly assessing current developments. They collect and assess all information provided by the authorities and health institutes. This especially includes the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institue and the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg. Based on these recommendations and after careful considerations, the task forces decided to cancel the Study Days. Consequently, the event that was to start Tuesday cannot take place.

The University of Konstanz and HTWG have taken this measure to help stop the coronavirus from spreading further. Large events might accelerate the spreading of the virus and make it more difficult to trace back infection chains. The Study Days with a total of around 1,400 guests per day at both universities are a very important event, albeit a voluntary one. With the current situation in mind, we have decided that we have to cancel the Study Days.

We apologize for this short-term cancellation. Protecting staff members and guests of the University of Konstanz and the HTWG is our top priority. Please visit our website instead to find out more about our study programmes and getting started at the University of Konstanz at before-you-study/study-programme-selection/ or the HTWG at htwg-konstanz.de/studienorientierung.
