The "Thomas Mann Prize of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts" is awarded annually, alternating between Lübeck and Munich. It emerged from the "Thomas Mann Prize of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck" and the "Thomas Mann Prize" of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts and is endowed with 25,000 euros.
