The Mommsen Prize has been awarded by the German Historical Institute (DHI) in London since 2010. The prize consists of the translation of the work and the publication of the translation by an English publisher. The aim of the prize is to make German research on British history more accessible to a British readership and thus to promote the Institute's mission of advancing German-British historical research.
