The Gustav-Hertz-Prize of the German Physical Society is an award for outstanding, recently completed work of one or several young physicists and is consequently aimed at encouraging up-and-coming young talent. Here the work earmarked for the award should come from the fields of experimental or theoretical physics, show a certain conclusion and contain new findings.
