Internal preselection
Are you interested in applying to the "Eliteprogramm für Postdoktorandinnen und Postdoktoranden" funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung? Please note that the number of proposals that the university may submit to this program is limited to five applications. There is hence an internal selection process. We will inform you about the process and timeline once the application materials are available.
We have compiled an overview of foundations and their funding programms for your convenience. Foundations usually outline the application process on their websites. Please study these guidelines carefully. Please also note also that foundations usually - unlike the DFG - set deadlines for submitting grant proposals.
It is furthermore important to research what general themes foundations place emphasis on. Some generally fund projects only in the life sciences, others in the humanities. If you are unsure whether a particular foundation would be interested in your research, do not hesitate to call them. The foundation will usually be able and willing to tell whether your application would in principle have a chance of being approved.
There are a few big and well-known foundations. Others are small and may fund only a few projects per year. These smaller ones might be harder to find. We will gladly look for foundations that might be of interest to you.
