Special award for outstanding student engagement
of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg (MWK)
In 2017, the MWK will once again recognise special achievements in teaching and student engagement. The Landeslehrpreise (state teaching awards) 2017 aim to provide best practice examples for teaching, create incentives, spark ideas and start debates. A special award worth 5,000 euros recognises outstanding student engagement across all types of higher education institutions.
The winners will be presented with their award during a central event to be held on Wednesday, 6 December 2017 in the Neues Schloss.
Who and what is eligible?
What achievements does the award recognise?
- Exemplary student engagement that can serve as a role model and directly benefits other students. Both a single project of extraordinary consequence as well as consistent service over a period of time are eligible for the award.
- General committee work and regular attendance at meetings do not, by themselves, qualify for the award. Active participation in working groups (e.g. working groups within the student body) that is distinct from regular committee work is, however, eligible for nomination for the special award.
Who is eligible?
- a single person (a student or doctoral student enrolled in a doctoral study programme);
- a group of students.
