Academic structure

The bachelor's programme has a modular structure. It comprises a total of 15 modules in all fields relevant to motoric neurorehabilitation. During your studies you will expand and deepen your existing specialist knowledge and broaden your scope of applicable skills in close conjunction with research. In the first year of study you will focus especially on basic scientific knowledge of motoric-neurological rehabilitation as well as the framework conditions of medical care. You will also learn scientific work methods, discuss the current status of research and reflect on treatment concepts in neurorehabilitation. The second year of study provides an extensive overview of the new and classic methods of therapeutic interventions in motoric neurorehabilitation.
Observation sessions in related areas of medical care help you to deepen your understanding of processes in the care of patients and to learn how to optimise cooperation and treatment pathways in professional practice. In the third year of study the competencies you have now acquired will be combined in supervised specialised internships and deepened with specific theoretical teaching contents.  At the end of the third study year you will conclude your degree with a bachelor's thesis.

Please check the Exam regulations (partly in German) for more information about the programme structure.
