If you are interested in completing one of the following study programmes at the University of Konstanz, you must participate in the study placement process (DoSV) via hochschulstart.de.
- Biological Sciences (bachelor)
- Life Science (bachelor)
- Politics and Public Administration (bachelor)
- Psychology (bachelor)
- Law (first examination in law)
- Sport Science (bachelor)
- Economics (bachelor’s / major)
Who is required to apply using hochschulstart.de??
You will need to apply via hochschulstart.de if you intend to study one of the aforementioned study programmes in the first semester and you belong to one of the following groups:
- applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification,
- applicants with a higher education entrance qualification from EU/EEA-countries or Switzerland,
- graduates of a German "Studienkolleg" (preparatory course).
If you did not earn your higher education entrance qualification in an EU/EEA country, please follow the relevant application guidelines.
Important!
Applications for second degree studies in the aforementioned study programmes should also be submitted via hochschulstart.de. Applications for transferring into a higher semester (e.g. from another university), however, do not need to be submitted via hochschulstart.de.

- Apply in time via hochschulstart.de,
- apply at the University of Konstanz,
- accept your offer of admission at hochschulstart.de.
As soon as the University of Konstanz has received your application, you will receive an email confirmation. You can track the status of your application via ZEuS. If you have applied to more than one university via hochschulstart.de, you can track the status of each application there.
