Stress prevention and relaxation

High demands at work and in private life and constant time pressure are stressful. Once the "energy reserves" have been used up, you often don't know how you can cope with all the expectations and your health can quickly start to falter.

To prevent this from happening in the first place, the health initiative "Gesunde Uni" supports you with various offers to take relaxing breaks in your everyday university life and recharge your batteries.

Quiet time out from the hustle and bustle: Relaxation room E 780a

Sudden headaches, circulation problems or just the desire to put your feet up and relax - there are many good reasons to take a quiet time out from everyday life. The wish for a freely accessible quiet room has been around for a long time and we are pleased that it can now also be fulfilled.

The University of Konstanz has created a new room on level E 7, which is quietly located and offers a beautiful view of the inner courtyard and the Mainau.

Who is the room for?

The room is primarily intended for employees and students who need a quiet break from daily life at university for health reasons (e.g. due to chronic illnesses or disabilities, pregnancy or acute complaints such as migraines or circulatory problems). However, it can also be used by people who "just" want to relax, as long as no one with acute or chronic complaints needs one of the two couches.

When is the room open and where do I find it?

Room E 780a is open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm and is located on level E7 near the Language Teaching Institute.

Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

  • Please be quiet in the room, even if you are alone there.
  • In order to preserve the room as long as possible, we kindly ask you to take off your shoes when using the couches. This also makes it more comfortable to sit and lie down.
  • No one wants to sit on couches full of crumbs, with stains from coffee, juice and co. For hygienic reasons, please do not eat or drink in the room.

Enjoy your quiet break!

All information at a glance can be found in the flyer.
