Zertifikat “Führung, Management, Wissenstransfer” (leadership, management, knowledge transfer certificate)

Document your competencies with a single certificate!

Researchers with a doctorate also take on various managerial responsibilities. It can be an extremely important asset when applying for leadership positions to be able to provide proper documentation of your transferable skills in relevant areas.

The university’s “Führung, Management, Wissenstransfer” certificate (leadership, management, knowledge transfer) includes an official record of your skills in this area which are relevant for your future career both inside and outside academia.

Conditions

Participation in this certificate programme is available exclusively to doctoral researchers and to researchers at the University of Konstanz who have already earned their doctorate (post-doctoral researchers, HabilitandInnen, junior professors etc.). The module-based programme can be customised to fit individual preferences and completed within one year. However, there is no time limit. Currently, the certificate can only be completed in German.

Quality standards

The quality standards that apply to Academic Staff Development events also apply to all modules that are taught as part of the Zertifikat “Führung, Mangement, Wissenstransfer” (leadership, management, knowledge transfer certificate) programme.

The quality standards of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hochschuldidaktik apply to all university didactics events that count towards the certificate.

Structure of the certificate

The certificate consists of a competency analysis and four successive modules with workshops on leadership, management and knowledge transfer as well as related topics. The certificate encompasses four modules and includes a total of 70 work units (AE).

Competency analysis

As part of the competency analysis, you have the opportunity to reflect on your own transferable skills in relation to your career goals and to create an individual, resource-oriented skills profile that reflects your individual strengths and your potential to grow and develop even further. The results of the competency analysis will help you customise your certificate programme to fit your continuing education needs.

As a doctoral researcher, you have access to our peer coaching format, which has been created to assist you with analysing your competencies. During these sessions, we will provide your with a short overview of the entire certificate programme and will be happy to answer your questions.

You can check the dates and register by visiting our events programme.
