View of Lake Constance
The city of Konstanz ( city map ) is situated on the famous Lake Constance or Bodensee on the borders of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is well-suited to host the symposium with its international flair and location. Italy is also only a few hours away on the other side of the Alps and the university itself attracts many international students from some 80 countries. The countryside surrounding the university campus is varied - lakeside marshland, vineyards and mountains make the Bodensee region one of the most beautiful areas to visit in Germany.
