In Germany there is a legal obligation to pay fees for public service broadcasters. The fee has to be paid per household no matter if you have radio or television receivers. The 'ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio Beitragsservice' collects license fees for public service broadcasters. The fee currently € 17.98 per household per month.
