On the Web and elsewhere, information comes in continuously. However, this alone cannot enable users to keep track of a changing world. For this, the information has to be related to knowledge structures -- which in turn may change with the new input. Data mining, coupled with interactivity, can support people in such tasks. In this talk, I present different approaches that mediate between data mining and knowledge structures, focusing on our work in visual text summarization with dynamic graphs and diversity-aware conceptual text clustering.
