XML Handling Techniques

speaker Stefan Klinger

date March , 2006

abstract A research question: The ability to handle XML-IR models implies the implementation of techniques like, e.g., fuzzy matches, scoring, or stemming, with adherence to the semi-structured nature of XML. Which techniques are available for XML, and how could they be smoothly integrated with relational tree encodings, as used by the Pathfinder project? This talk will present the current state of our research and the plan for the next six months.
