ROOM Y 311, UNIVERSITY OF CONSTANCE / UNIVERSITÄT KONSTANZ
UNIVERSITÄTSSTRASSE 10, 78464 KONSTANZ, GERMANY
Guests are welcome to participate in the conference. The entrance is free. Please send us an informal participation request if you are going to attend some of the paper presentations.
The closest airport is Zurich. You may reach Konstanz by train Zurich Airport-Konstanz (http://www.bahn.de/i/view/USA/en/index.shtml) for the price of 30 CHF. Your hotel is located in the centre of Konstanz, being only 5 minutes away from the rail way station and the bus stop. More detailed information about the hotel will be sent to the participants by the end of May 2011. Please take buses 9A, 9B, 4 to come from the rail way station to the University of Konstanz. We will provide you with a phone number of our assistant, so you can easily ask for directions in case you have lost your way.
The University of Konstanz will be able to reimburse your travel expenses due to the friendly support of Fritz-Thyssen-Foundation. In order to get your travel costs reimbursed you should send your boarding cards, train and bus tickets after your return from Konstanz at the following address: Frau Helke Schmal, Conference Electrified Voices, Universität Konstanz, Universitätsstrasse 10, 78464 Konstanz, Germany. The sum, which corresponds to the amount of your travel expenses, will be transmitted directly to your account within the time period of two weeks. We will do our best to simplify the reimbursement procedure. In some agreed cases travel expenses can be reimbursed in Konstanz before the end of the conference. Expenses for business class flights, first class train tickets and taxi normally cannot be reimbursed. To avoid any misunderstanding please agree you booking proposals with the project leader PD Dr. Dmitri Zakharine (dmitri [dot] zakharine [at] uni-konstanz [dot] de).
The perfect length of presentation is 20 minutes. Please don’t speak longer than the arranged allotted time of 25 minutes. Only in some agreed cases (e.g. the introductory lecture) the time of presentation may be extended to 45 minutes. What counts – is presenting your points in an interesting memorable way. Please use Power Point or similar programs to make your talk leaner and more concise.
The materials of the conference will be published. We would appreciate it if you could send us the working versions of your papers or the texts of your presentations (4-5 pages) until June 10th 2011.
