Costs of Studying and Financial Support

Tuition fees for the Master's programme are currently 500 EUR per semester.

Tuition fees will be abolished starting from Summer Semester 2012.

In addition, students pay the following fees each semester:

A contribution to the Student Services Seezeit (58 €).

An administrative fee for services of the University administration (40 €).

The current recommended minimum sum to cover living costs per month is 660 .

International students, who are not citizens of the EU, the EEA and Switzerland, are required to prove that they have sufficient funds to cover their living costs in order to receive a residence permit for Germany. See the form proof of financial resources.

Loans from the State Credit Bank of Baden-Württemberg are available to home students, citizens of the EU and the EEA, and international students who have the German "Abitur" (university entrance qualification).

The Department of Economics is able to offer a limited number of teaching and research assistantships for Master's students, as a form of additional financial support.

International students are also recommended to consult the website of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for scholarship possibilities.

Excellent students who are admitted to our Doctoral Programme in Quantitative Economics and Finance after the first year of the Master's programme, have the opportunity of receiving a scholarship from the State of Baden-Württemberg.
