Research area

My research work is mainly focussed on proteome analysis of M. Longissimus dorsi in order to find significant muscle proteins and quality biomarkers. Identification of post-translational modification and determination of profile structure modification. Further, I am interested in identification of protein components involved in the calcium and energy metabolism in mitochondrial and sarcoplasmic muscle cells and detection of functionally relevant oxidative modification using high performance Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FTICR-MS) and Liquid- Chromatography mass spectrometry in combination with 2D gel electrophoresis and immuno-affinity methods.
