Teaching and Administrative Experience

Recently I have been teaching the following courses: pure and monetary international economics, commercial policy, welfare theory and second best welfare economics, microeconomics (at many levels), intermediate macroeconomics, the economics of transformation in Eastern Europe and the P.R. of China. I have considerable experience in teaching large groups. I try to combine theory and policy with a problem orientation in all courses.

I headed the department of economics at the University of East Anglia for two years. I have organised staff seminars and workshops at the University of Konstanz. I was appointed to the office of Dean of Students (for a period of four years) in September 1996.
